Katy Perry Stole The Night At MTV VMA

One of the biggest starts of the moment, Katy Perry, stole the spotlight at the MTV VMA 2011 with her colorful outfits and nail art. She has always shown a style of her own and it is usually colorful and sweet with some elements that make it a bit different. This year, we not only got to see one outfit, but two, which she changed during the event.

Her first outfit was the Atelier Versace flock inspired from Asia and she had pink pastel nails with yellow lines that looked great with the outfit; it was like her clothes continued to her fingers and everything look great. The pink hair is always a nice touch and the little Asian umbrella was the perfect accessory for this outfit.

She then switched to a Christian Dior Fall 2011 couture ensemble. Not only did she change her clothes, but also her nails which were now black and white geometric inspired from the 80s. What is an outfit without a shocking element? Katy Perry had a yellow cube on her head for this second outfit and she was rocking the look. We got to see her receive the award for Video Of The Year, the most prestigious award of the night, for her song Firework.

It was an amazing night for this young star who took the music industry by storm for the last couple of years. Ever since I Kissed A Girl was released in 2008, Katy Perry became known worldwide for her great voice and unique style. Other hits quickly followed and now, in 2011 we finally see her getting one of the most important awards in the music industry.

The 2011 VMA were not just about winning this award for Katy Perry. She was nominated for 10 awards and had four music videos shown in different categories; the only artist in history with this achievement. During the event, she won three awards including Best Collaboration and Best Special Effects for E.T. featuring Kanye West. She is a great example of what happens when you combine a great musical talent with an incredible fashion style.

Beyonce Knowles At The MTV VMA 2011

One of the biggest events in the music industry is the annual MTV Video Music Awards where the most popular artists are awarded a Moon-man for their remarkable results during the year. We got to see Beyonce several times during the 2011 VMA; performing on stage, receiving an award for Best Choreography and of course, on the red carpet.

The remarkable outfit Beyonce had for the red carpet simply left everyone speechless. Her fiery orange one shouldered long dress made a huge impression at the VMA and it is a change from her tight outfits which we are used to. The reason for that is that she is pregnant and that she and her husband, Jay-Z, are expecting a baby; the most important collaboration of the year. The outfit is a George Lanvin wrap dress and she even had heels on despite being a mommy-to-be. The side-swept hair was a nice touch and it really went well with the entire look she was going for.

Beyonce started her music career in the R&B group Destiny’s Child and evolved to become one of the best voices in the world. Her fourth album was recently released and it called simply 4 and the news that Beyonce is pregnant actually helped her album sales quite a lot. The album became her fourth consecutive number one album on the Billboard 200. It is easy to see that she is on top of the world and that all her hard work is paying of with both her music career and her personal life.

In US alone, she sold over 11.2 albums and 25 million singles and a staggering 75 million records worldwide. This rightfully makes her one of the best selling artists of all time and we are certainly looking forward to more; after a small vacation of course. She can sign, she can dance, she can act, she looks amazing, she has a great fashion sense and she has a voice that can be instantly recognized, Beyonce Knowles is truly a complete performer that gained countless fans all around the world by working hard and staying true to herself.

Rihanna At The Grammy Awards 2011

The Grammy Awards is one of the most popular events in the music industry and it brings together the most in-demand artists of the moment. Winning such an award is truly an honor and this year, it took place in Los Angeles at Staples Center. Along other great artists that we got to see take the big stage to get their awards, we also got to see Rihanna, winning Best Dance Recording with her song Only Girl (In The World).

The outfit she wore to the Grammy Awards in 2011 was a Jean Paul Gaultier dress with Christian Louboutin shoes, the result was simply stunning, a bit too revealing but stunning nonetheless. She shows the world once again that she is a beautiful woman and that she is not afraid to show off her body. The gown is very fashionable and not many celebrities could have pulled it off like Rihanna; she looks like she has a dress made out of clouds and it is just enough to hide the essential parts. The look is made perfect by the style of her red hair and makeup. As a small detail about her accessories, she is also wearing a Wilfredo Rosado ring.

This young sensation is just getting warmed up and six years after her first song entered Top 10, Pon De Replay, we see the number 20 single reaching Top 10, We Found Love. This little accomplishment makes Rihanna the fastest solo artist to produce 20 Top 10 songs that appeared in Hot 100, taking the title from Madonna.

Rihanna’s new album will be out on November 21, 2011 and it is called Talk That Talk with singles such as We Found Love which already has a video out. The album, which will have the number 6 from this young artist, will have 11 tracks and 4 bonus tracks. As the video is already getting a lot of positive feedback, we can be sure that there will be quite a few hits in this new album and that we will get to see Rihanna at future music awards, shocking the world in other stunning outfits.
